The last piece of the puzzle…

On December 11, 2009 by vard

You have to hand deliver it to me…in an envelope. (For anyone that just grunted at that last sentence, read the entire post!)  I’ll be in downtown Berwick from 5pm-9pm supporting the Victorian Nights event.  Come out, enjoy some of what Berwick, and some VERY hard working people, have to offer, and have a great time.  But you gotta find ME!  No dropping ideas off at The Blend, or mugging Connie with stationary…I’ll be around shooting the entire time.  If you don’t see me on the street, duck inside one of the many great businesses downtown that have something going on…I’ll be in each of them at some point.

The point behind this is two-fold.  First, because you can.  You can make life more interesting.  Do something different, even if all you take from it is a story about a night in Berwick.  I hear a lot of chatter about there being nothing to do in this town (and in a lot of small towns), and I don’t believe it at all.  There’s tons to see and do tomorrow evening.  Stop in, check it out, find the geek with the camera (you gotta find the right geek) and do something interesting.  The 2nd reason is to support the town that supports us.  A lot gets done in this town by very few people…and this is a chance for me to give a little hand back where I can.

For those of you stuck at college or in another dimension, I will take submissions by proxy, but only one per person.  Work up the idea, send in the patsy, and we’ll call it good enough.  Only 1 submission per person/proxy.  That should cover most…but I realize not all.  Fret NOT!  This is the first in a series of fun life enhancing adventures I want to take.  We’ll be doing something along these lines many times a year, and MOST wont require physically being near me.

The only way to be eligible is to actually do this.  Someone’s gonna win a free and fun shoot…at least give yourself a chance to be that person!

since we’re not near you and probably have no way to get it to you, here’s our idea:

Hey Eddie! So I don’t think I’ve ever told you this, but the college I go to has a CASTLE. A real one, not some cutesy thing built just for fun. It’s from the 1800s and the biggest struggle in there is shooting with the lights, but since you’re an absolute MASTER of lighting, I think you could do a spectacular shoot in this castle. Even if it doesn’t work for the thing your planning, you should absolutely consider it before I graduate (in May) while I have free access to the building. Let me know what you think!

Well, I posted on your Facebook that I won’t be able to see you in Berwick tonight for the whole Victorian Nights thing, since I will be out of town (I’m going to my birthday dinner)…So, I will post my idea here..

My idea for a shoot would be sort of couture glam; Inspired by Lady Gaga.
With crazy huge shoes, wacky hair, obscene clothes, gorgeous makeup….That’s an ideal dream shoot…

Some settings could be some place grungy looking, (if that makes any sense). Or underwater. (:
Or on a fire escape…that may be random, but I think it would look cool…
And that place you went with Connie,(the brewery, I believe?), looks like an awesome setting. Also, indoor shots are neat too; just depends on the lighting.(:

My intention is to emulate Lady Gaga’s style and fashion; If you haven’t seen her (which I am guessing you have), I would suggest youtube-ing her music videos (especially Bad Romance and Paparazzi).

(: thanks for taking the time to read this.
