Ever Wanted To Be A Mannequin…?
This Saturday is the Victorian Nights event in downtown Berwick. Lots of fun family stuff and a chance to get out and meet the people you live and work with every day. Most years (every one of them before this one) I’ve wandered through town, with or without kids in tow, snap-shooting (I know, great word!
) the goings on. This year I’m going to do it a bit different. We’re setting up the street window of the studio like a big city store front and letting YOU be the mannequins! We’ll provide Santa hats, scarves and other necessary accessories…you just bring you, some friends and some fun.
You can wear whatever you want, but we’re setting up the window for the winter/holiday feel. Clash if you will, or dress for the part….either way is cool with me. This is just a fun and slightly silly way to enjoy the evening and do something a little different. And, for anyone brave enough to join in, we’ll be making the digital files available to you as well.
The job of ‘Studio D Mannequin’ is open to anyone willing to take part, but we have a few brave souls that will be filling the voids and making it a generally more eventful time. Props to Lindsey, Brittnee, Beckie & Alexis for getting things going. Stop down, cheer them on or bump them out and get in the window yourself.
…at least it’s something to do, right…?
(we’re also thinking of running a promo on the event night; maybe something like free prints with shoots booked that night; reduced sitting fees for appointments made then…who knows…I haven’t figured it out yet, but it’ll be something worth while, I promise!
Hope to see you there!)
