Social Media
About this time every year, as we get closer to closing out the last of the jobs from the previous year, I try to sit back and give the bigger picture some thought. What do I want to do different this coming year to keep pushing my envelope a bit…to grow, as both a photographer and business owner/guy/dude/ thing. Every year for the last 5 it’s been something to do with the camera. Good thing I guess, as this is my profession! But this year it wasn’t about making images…or, at least hasn’t been yet. It’s not a cut and dry, ‘OK, I’ve learned something, now back to work’ kind of thing. I’m sure 1 or more ‘new’ things for me in cameraland will happen soon enough, but something else BIG has landed that makes the wait for some new creative idea easily tolerable.
I really dig Social Media. It’s entertaining and informative and distracting and educational. I’ve been side-stepping into it over the last 15 months, and the deeper I swim into an ocean of tech jargon, the more I want to be part of it. It’s not for everyone…but it is for me.
This page is where you’ll find thoughts and whatnot from my little adventure in to Social Media marketing. Just some of the nerdy stuff I like to read up on when I need to flex my brain muscle in the other direction for a bit. PLEASE, feel free to add anything you think might be helpful to anyone reading this. I see this as an organic constantly changing page. As I come across useful or interesting tidbits, they’ll be posted here. There’s a real chance I’ll be modifying the layout here as well to better deliver the information that accumulates. Happy reading!
