So Minnesota was everything I hoped it would be.  Never will I wait 6 years to visit again.  Maybe 6 months…maybe!  I frickin’ love that place.  There’s a lot to blog from it, but it’ll have to wait just a bit.

I’ve been wanting to do this shoot since the fall.  Meet Anna and Julie.  Twin sister track studs and generally rad people to work with.  Goofy would be an understatement, but determined doesn’t do them justice…they rock!  The right balance of fun and get-the-job-done!

I really couldn’t have asked for better light.  Mother Nature provided exactly what I was hoping for, save for the wind!  The damn wind!  I would very much preferred to have soft-boxed at least some (if not a majority) of these shots.  But that wasn’t even close to an option with the wind we were enjoying.  Without assistants to hang on to the lights (even then, it might have been too much to even try) straight-tubin’ was the order of the day.  Thankfully these ladies can handle the harsh stuff just fine!  My hats off to your parents ladies for having rad genes!

Like most of what I’ve been playing around with lately, this was more a test of myself than anything else.  I had some ideas and some willing participants.  LEARNIN’!  Both about shooting things like this and what some of my gear can do…nice job new battery pack, you didn’t even blink during this shoot…you get to stay!  :D

I’ve got Minnesota, a few weddings and I’m sure some Maine blogging coming up…as fast as I can I’ll try to get it all posted.  For now, it’s runnin’ time – as if this day wasn’t inspiration enough, these shots definitely are!
